RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am interested in how Art Education from an emergent technology and Maker lenses could contribute to the STEM education. My desire to understand how I might better engage non-traditional STEM learners, through the arts, drives me to research educational sciences, in Art Education.

  • Dorkbot303, Founder of dorkbot303, the Colorado chapter of “people doing strange things with electricity.” I served as curator, promoter and host of the interactive artist series which happened semi-annually in Denver/Boulder, showcasing visiting and local electronic artists. (2006 – 2012)
  • Girls Rock Denver, Taught technology workshops to girls participating in the summer program. I designed two courses (DJing in Ableton and building a piezo microphone). I also supported the camp by working with the girls to create music videos for their bands and provided audio/visual support for the camp and final performances. (2010 & 2011)
